A bonzai plant on my window and a fluctuating internet connection. A miniature tree that could get 100 years old but not growing. A state of being connected to music and one’s individuality. Is there any sense to what I am saying? Probably there is.
Bonzai Connection is a foursome band in the Philippines who, although a young age in the music scene, is taking one big leap in the music industry. The band is composed of Kris Bocobo on vocals, CJ Anter stomping the bass, Arvin Magsajo strumming the guitar and Benj Bartolome banging the drums. The group admitted that their type of music is revolutionized by the music of their father’s era mixing it on their own perspective and individuality. The twist of their music adheres to the present timeframe of Filipino listeners. The band is on Dyna Records Philippines label with their debut song “Isipang Isinara” which is available on request on Radio Max. It is also included on the album “Tunog Kalye (Bagong Tunog, Bagong Banda).” You can check their song if you click this one!
CJ, Rod’s cousin, whom I personally know was recently hospitalized, er, due to one of the world’s oldest beverages. Yup, you are right if you answered alcohol. I hope CJ would not sue me by giving out this malicious information to the public. But hey, you are wrong if you are thinking CJ is a heavy drinker. He is just the ordinary guy who drinks for socializing! Anyways, CJ is fine now and probably he is somewhere out there in the stage with his band playing their single “Isipang Isinara,” a kind of music with a blend of then and now.
Bonzai Connection is nominated on Alternative category, Best Group, Breakthrough Artist and Best New Artist on the Radio Music Awards 2009 and they are finalist for People’s Choice Award too.

i’ll tell you the story of the band… Kris the band vocalist was once part of a known band in ATENEO named “HELLBENDER” and Benj the band DRUMMER was a typical type of guy studying in ATENEO too with his sticks rock it like a great artist.. Arvin the Lead guitarist is the “LED ZEP” of the band he’ll rock the stage by his magic hand when you see him perform d*mn grabe talga.. and then of course my cousin CJ band bassist and a great artist for me because 24 hours is not enough for him to practice his chords and scaling as a matter of fact he almost got sick having his guitar all night long for 2 days…
i almost break my keyboard ill continue the story once i got enough sleep… c’yah guys…
