Make Lettucey-Salad Not War

There are seven days in a week. So in that manner, I will be eating 21 meals, and probably 12 times in-between snacks of the major meals. A lot of animal tissue in there, ow, meat rather. Given the fact that oily foods are to be served every mealtime, why not take a one-whole day being a vegetarian? Why not Thursday, oh, make it Friday.

Hence, I asked my officemate to prepare a dip for our V Day, the Vegan Day. I was assigned for the lettuce. Now, you don’t have to wonder for the title of this artic.

Here’s what you will be needing:

Lettuce (Of course, the leaves)
2 teaspoons of Calamansi/Lemon (I would prefer Calamansi as that is cheaper)
Cucumber
Tomato (Sliced)
Mayonnaise
Garlic
The Secret Ingredient

THE DIP

Mince the garlic until it’s refined. Very refined. Try using a blender if you want.
Put the Mayonnaise in a bowl, toss the very refined garlic. Stir.
Pour 2 teaspoons of Calamansi or lemon juice.
Add The Secret Ingredient – Condensed Milk. Don’t overdo it. Do some taste-test every time to get your desired dip.
You’re all done here.

THE SALAD

Wash everything! You don’t want some dust in your plate, right?
Pile the lettuce into the center of each plate or bowl.
Rest the tomatoes and the cucumber over the lettuce.
You can actually add some fruits you desired in this part.

Voila. Here’s a day for you who wants to be a vegan.

You can also mix mayonnaise and ketchup (usually found in the kitchen) as your dip for that crunchy lettuce. You can never go wrong with veggies! Right Ax!

Did you actually enjoy being a vegan? Haha! Well, I’m a meat lover, though I don’t go gaga over it. I just can’t take a whole meal without meat, or maybe I can, but I haven’t tried it yet. I have a friend, he’s a vegan. Once, we were at Dads, yeah, buffet. Imagine a vegan in a buffet. Like his plate is filled with leaves. Okay, and potatoes. Haha! I can’t actually say if he was able to make the best out of the 500+ peso per blue plate rate. LOL.
